We all know that our diet influences our whole body. This holds true to kids too. NHS England (an executive non-departmental public body of the Department of Health) found in its research that parents are ‘poisoning’ their kids with the diet they are feeding them!
Parents are now providing their kids with excessive amounts of sugary food and drinks. The NHS warns that they must be given water, milk and fruit instead to substitute the bad sugars. They also urge parents to take this responsibility, because it can only lead to bah health and it puts the children at risk of diabetes, heart disease and cancer.
The NHS have also urged manufacturers and supermarkets to take more sugar out of the food and drinks they sell. But with one out of five cancer cases caused by obesity, there need to be more people being proactively involved with it. The food industry also has a huge responsibility to undertake.
If you are a parent, do you need to revise what you feed your children? If you are a business owner, do you need to reconsider the food you supply your customers?
