World Health Day Focus 2015

 

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has announced that the focus for the 2015 World Health Day will be on food safety. The World Health Day will be held on the 7th of April (which is less than two weeks away). The slogan used for the day will be “From farm to plate, make food safe.

During World Health Day, WHO will address the issues of food safety in the world at the moment. Specifically, they will explore at how globalisation has made food not only international but how it has both improved and threatened the food safety chain. They will also reflect on how this affects human health and provide new figures on food borne illnesses.
