What Coles Product Has Been Recalled Recently?

We all are scared when food gets recalled by the food safety authorities. Yesterday, Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) issued a warning for customers. Queensland and New South Wales are the two stares that have been affected by this recall.

The FSANZ warned that consumers should not eat Hans Spanish Chorizo 250g with the expiration date December 1, 2017. They would have been bought at Coles store from the affected states. The recall was made after there was a microbial contamination of E. coli found in the product.

Recalled Action

Hans Smallgoods have worked alongside Coles and encourage consumers to return their product. Going back to the point of purchase, consumers can receive an immediate cash refund. Coles has also pulled this product of their shelves.

The company said that he product recall only applied to chorizo and that none of its other smallgoods products had been impacted by the contamination scare.

Do you need to go and check your fridge to see if this product is in it? If it is in your fridge, do you need to return it to you point of sale?
